Material Composition

The primary material is nitrile rubber, a synthetic elastomer produced via emulsion polymerization of butadiene and acrylonitrile. Butadiene provides elasticity and low-temperature flexibility, while the cyano groups (-CN) in acrylonitrile enhance oil and chemical resistance. Some premium models incorporate carboxyl monomers (e.g., acrylic acid) for modified mechanical stability and anti-aging performance, ensuring durability under repeated use.

FDA Compliance Standards

Food-contact Grade: Meets the requirements of 21 CFR 177.2600 (FDA’s food additive regulations). Volatile organic compound (VOC) residue ≤ 0.5% by weight; heavy metal migration (lead, cadmium, etc.) must be below toxicological threshold limits to ensure safety for direct food handling.

Medical Exam Grade: Complies with ASTM D6319 specifications for disposable nitrile examination gloves. Minimum tensile strength ≥ 14 MPa, ultimate elongation ≥ 500%, and acrylonitrile monomer residue ≤ 50 μg/g to avoid skin irritation.
